Chelmsford set for dragon invasion

The race, which takes place every other year on the River Chelmer, has become a major hit and a central part of The Tim Reeve Charitable Trust’s fundraising calendar. All of the teams will take part in three races, with the fastest six going through to the semi-finals, and then the final. To add to the sense of occasion each team will represent a Euro 2016 nation and there will also be live music and a variety of activities to entertain spectators. The Birketts team will be representing Sweden.

Daden Hunt, Partner at Birketts said: “Our Chelmsford office has long been a supporter of the dragon boat race through our connections with the Tim Reeve Charitable Trust which was set up in 2006 following Tim’s untimely death from leukaemia at the age of 23. The Trust’s has raised over £450,000 since its inception and this year is hoping to go past the £500,000  threshold in its tenth year anniversary.
