ICE East of England Regional Director Glen Owen said: “Although some will not see it as the ideal solution it is good to know that at last the Government has the A14 in its sights and plans to take action. The downside is that work will not begin until 2018 which is yet another six years when the situation can only get worse. The A14 is a vital arterial route for the country and further delay cannot be justified. We urge the Government to fast-track the scheme without further delay.”
