Three very different examples of work produced by Cambridge agency CPL have been shortlisted in the 2012 International Content Marketing Awards – and they’re now up against some of the world’s top brands in the bid for top spots in their categories.

CPL's print and digital campaign to promote the stallion Lonhro, developed with Newmarket-based client Darley Stud Management, is shortlisted in the category for Best B2B Content Marketing Solution of the Year. It focused on “the super-tough Australian champion sire who’s about to turn the breeding world upside down” – and sure enough he went on to exceed expectations when he was ‘shuttled’ from Australia to Kentucky.

A one-off print publication that recognised the work carried out over the past five years by London-based international human rights lawyers, the Death Penalty Project, is also shortlisted. It’s not just the awards judges who like the report; during  its launch held at the House of Lords, Keir Starmer, Director of Public Prosecutions, said: ‘This report perfectly spells out the work of what I would describe as the most successful campaigning litigation strategy in the world.’

Meanwhile, Cheers, the magazine that CPL produces for Molson Coors Brewing Company – owner of brands such as Carling, Cobra, Coors Light and Doom Bar – is shortlisted in the best internal communication category, the latest accolade for this publication that has won a host of awards in the past couple of years.

Mike Sewell, CPL managing director, said: 'We carry out a wide range of work for our clients – in both print and digital formats and from conception to delivery – and It's great that our industry peers rank these among the best work of its kind that is being produced in the UK and beyond.'
