Do you know how to argue? Would you like to improve with the help of a barrister?

The Oxford English Dictionary has a number of definitions of argument, including a 'debate, especially heated'. This is what we often think of when we use the term. However, another definition is a 'reasoning process'. (OED) It is the latter term which is of interest to Inspiring Partnerships, which is offering a one-day course on influencing skills on Feb 19 in Cambridge led by Mike Magee of Fenners Chambers Cambridge.

A good argument can help you influence; whereas we can see or hear an argument, influence is only perceivable in its effect.

Most things we do these day involve teams or at least a loose collection of individuals who by definition will hold their own set of values and beliefs different from our own. Genuinely changing the way that others think about an issue can have profound effects.

This course will help you to make your ideas irresistible to others with  expert guidance on how to present your ideas so that others adopt them and own them.

The one day course will give delegates the confidence to communicate their ideas with clarity, fluency and structure
