EACH brings open air cinema experience to Peterborough

Classic musical Mamma Mia will be the feature film when East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) hosts an open air cinema experience at Peterborough’s Ferry Meadows Country Park.

The event on Saturday 28 April promises to be full of fun, with a live band to entertain until the film begins. In addition there will be hot food and drinks, or guests are welcome to take a picnic.

Polly West, EACH Cambridgeshire Community Fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited to be screening such a popular film as Mamma Mia and have a fantastic night full of music, laughter and entertainment in store, so please do join us!

“All money raised will help us continue providing care for children with life-threatening conditions across the region and support for their families.”

Mamma Mia is a film that really needs no introduction, with the 2008 rom-com, featuring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth among others, one of the highest-grossing live action musicals of all time.

Gates will open at 6.30pm. The film, one hour and 49 minutes, will start at sundown around 8pm. There will be no reserved seating, so guests are advised to take blankets and collapsible chairs for full comfort.

Tickets are £12. Parking at Ferry Meadows will be charged at a discounted fee. Dogs on leads are welcome. To book and for more information about both the event and the charity’s care services, visit www.each.org.uk/cinema.
