East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has arranged a performance by Rock Choir, which has over 25,000 members across 380 communities, including Cambridge, St Neots and Huntingdon.
Rock Choir offers adults and teenagers an alternative experience to the traditional classical or community choir, with no auditions and no music reading or singing experience necessary.
Members often perform modern songs together and get fulfilment from achieving a great sound.
To hear how great a sound, head to Trinity College Chapel at 5.30pm on Sunday 3 December. Music gets under way at 6.30pm. Rock Choir members will be joined by special guest Ian de Massini, who will play the organ.
Alternatively, a private gala reception and concert, including a tour of the rooms at Trinity College, will begin at 5pm.
Grace Nalty, EACH Cambridgeshire Fundraising Assistant, said: “It’s great to be working with Rock Choir as we have a passion for music at EACH. Our music therapy sessions are a vital part of our care, enabling our children and families to express their emotions in a creative and fun environment.”
Rock Choir is also performing for EACH in Suffolk – at Suffolk New College, Ipswich – on 24th November and in Norfolk – at the Puppet Theatre, Norwich – on 26th November.
General admission tickets for the Cambridgeshire concert are £18. Tickets for the private function are £40. All money raised will help EACH continue caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and supporting their families.
