Run by the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service in partnership with the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industries, the awards celebrate the best in placemaking, design and crafts skills as demonstrated on projects within 5km of Great St Mary’s Church (including some parts of South Cambridgeshire).
Projects at all scales, from private home extensions to whole new neighbourhoods, are eligible for entry and there are a wide range of categories which include awards for sustainable design and craftsmanship.
Previous winners include projects that have gone on to win national awards such as the RIBA Awards and similar. Last year, the award for best large new building was shared jointly between Cambridge Assessment by Eric Parry Architects and Marmalade Lane (pictured above) by Mole Architects.
For full details of how to enter, please visit Cambridge Design and Construction Awards where you can find entry forms and contact details.
Entries must be submitted by Friday 15 January 2021.
