Event helps you get started with STEM apprenticeships

Changes to the way apprenticeships will be funded - including the Apprenticeship Levy - has led many businesses to consider apprenticeships. Could a position that has been graduate-entry be offered as a Higher Apprenticeship instead? What’s it like to bring an apprentice on board? How do you even begin the process?

Existing apprentice employers may have questions about some of the changes, too. An event on October 4th in Cambridge -  “Getting Started with STEM Apprenticeships” - will provide answers to all these questions.

Event organiser, Anne Bailey, Co-founder, Form the Future says: “There are an increasing numbers of apprenticeships in the STEM sectors (science, technology, engineering and maths) in the Cambridge area and we’re actively promoting this pathway to young people, teachers and parents as a route into employment.

But we’re aware that employers have lots of questions about how apprenticeships work so we’re holding this B2B information event to answer these. Existing apprentice employers are very welcome to come and share their experience with employers who may be considering starting an apprenticeship programme."
