Explore Independent Cambridge - Socially Savvy Cambridge

With the help of Indie Cambridge - the community of ‘real’ Cambridge - Cambridge Network continues its weekly exploration of the best independent shops, cafés, restaurants, people, businesses, venues and events in Cambridge and the surrounding area. This week: Socially Savvy Cambridge.

Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, Sean Parker, et al, social media has become woven into the very fabric of our everyday lives. Sites likes Facebook and Instagram are now wonderful tools to enable businesses to reach a larger audience. Yet some companies still view them with trepidation, which is where social media specialist Kathryn Bailey, of Socially Savvy Cambridge, comes in. Youthful and dynamic, Kathryn understands how social media can be an instant, cost-effective way to raise profile.

Having studied creative arts, photography and videography, Kathryn honed her graphic design skills at a marketing agency. Her first social media success was managing the Instagram account of a Linton beauty salon owned by her partner’s mum; thanks to her enticing photography and engaging posts, it has welcomed more customers in the past six months than ever. Since then she’s secured various clients, including The Cambridge Fabric Company and a Greenwich park tennis enterprise.

With a range of packages available, Kathryn’s services include social media management, website design, logo rebranding, short films, even corporate powerpoint presentations, plus monthly analytics. The coming months will be focused on growing Socially Savvy Cambridge’s client base, but for now Kathryn is delighted to be helping demystify the digital world, and help small businesses flourish.
