Explore Indie Cambridge - Art of Flooring

With the help of Indie Cambridge - the community of ‘real’ Cambridge - Cambridge Network continues its weekly exploration of the best independent shops, cafés, restaurants, people, businesses, venues and events in Cambridge and the surrounding area. This week: Art of Flooring.

With the exorbitant cost of buying a house, many homeowners are choosing to stay put and extend their current footprint. Here’s where the award-winning team at Art of Flooring in Cambridge excel. Specialists in solid and engineered wood flooring, carpets and luxury vinyl tiles, they have a vast range of premium products, expert fitters and aftercare plans to offer.

Heading up the business, gregarious owner Pierre De Wet and wife Laurence – who also run Chittering-based floorcare company Art of Clean - work alongside general manager Sam Wilson and sales manager Neil Winning.

The team launched Art of Flooring’s impressive showroom on Milton Road in October 2017, creating a welcoming environment for clients to chat over locally-sourced coffee. The store is equipped with sample flooring from premium carpet brands including Victoria, Hugh Mackay, Elements of London and Riviera, with vinyl tiling from Harvey Maria, Moduleo and Karndean. Also showcased are signature bespoke wooden floor options, which can be created in several design patterns, colours and finishes.

Aside from their comprehensive range, Art of Flooring’s outstanding customer service attracts return business. Free site surveys are carried out to ensure the flooring fits the location, and Art of Clean can conserve the installation for years to come. It’s a dream team!
