The students, who have been studying for three-year Degrees and Foundation Degrees in Management and Leadership in Health Care since 2013, were presented with their awards by Vice Chancellor Professor Iain Martin during the event at the Corn Exchange this week.

They were also joined by the latest cohort of students from the RAF Medical Services to complete their degrees, and six VIP military guests.

The course is taught online, meaning military personnel can study anywhere in the world. The degree teaches students how to apply managerial and leadership principles to solve practical problems and assist in real-life situations.

Earlier this year, Anglia Ruskin also announced a similar partnership with the Royal Navy, meaning the University has links with the three major branches of the Armed Forces.

Suparna Ghose, Principal Consultant within Anglia Ruskin University’s Degrees At Work department, said: “Our graduation ceremonies are always special occasions but it was particularly pleasing to watch this first cohort of students from the Army Medical Services cross the stage. They will be followed by many, many more in the years to come.

“Anglia Ruskin is proud to have links with the Army, the Royal Air Force and the Navy. By offering these courses, we are helping our forces personnel improve their career prospects and become leaders in their respective fields.”
