The CW (Cambridge Wireless) Future of Wireless International Conference, hosted at the IET: Savoy Place in London, will focus on how industry is preparing, adapting and innovating for a fully-connected world. With insights sought from experts driving this transformation in the worlds of entertainment, banking, healthcare, retail, automotive, energy and utilities, CW has announced more industry heavyweights in vehicle automation and industrial IoT. They include Ian Simmons, Vice President - Business Development of Magna International; Euan Burns, Chief Engineer of Carillion and Graeme Wright, IoT Director of Fujitsu Manufacturing, Utilities and Services. The event takes place on 21 and 22 June during London Tech Week.
Other speakers already confirmed include Eileen Burbidge MBE, Partner at Passion Capital, Chair of Tech City UK and serving on the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group; Jon Carter, UK Head of Business Development at Deutsche Telekom; Tony Henderson, Account Director, Operator Channels at Microsoft; Geoff McGrath, Chief Innovation Officer of McLaren; Peter Simpson, VP Product Management at Pace International; Steve Leonard, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore and journalist and Broadcaster Rory Cellan-Jones.
“The real value of a connected world lies in what it can offer customers and businesses in vertical industries,” said Simon Fletcher, CTO of Real Wireless, and chair of Future of Wireless International Conference Committee. “But the connected world will only reach its potential if experts from within these industries are actively involved in its development today. This conference will shed light on those existing players and new entrants who are leading efforts to harness wireless within each of the key vertical sectors.”
The conference will once again be partnered by UK Trade and Investment, the government organisation responsible for helping UK business to maximise its potential to achieve international success and non-UK businesses successfully establish a base in the UK. The high calibre of speakers and dynamic new format has also attracted some fresh sponsors in Intel, designer and creator of chipsets for the worlds computing devices and Magna International, the global automotive supplier. Other confirmed sponsors include ANSYS, The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership, Rohde & Schwarz, TTP, Cambridge Consultants and IC Resources. The conference will also be supported by IoT Now and IoT Global Network.
