Granite 5 Lockdown fitness challenge to virtually visit new clients

Local digital agency, Granite 5 is embarking on a fitness challenge in March that will keep its team connected and healthy as the latest lockdown restrictions continue - and raise money for NHS Charities Together.

Granite 5 March fitness challenge

The team writes:

With no face-to-face meetings for almost a year, the team of twelve is attempting to walk, run and cycle 685 miles; the combined distance from the agency’s offices on the Cambridgeshire border to the location of all the new clients they have won since the start of the pandemic.

Granite 5 is located just outside Cambridge, in Croydon, near Royston. Latest agency clients include Nebula Space in Cambridge, AcryliCon in Wyboston, PBSL in London, and Marketing People in Belfast.

Jill Davies, MD at Granite 5 explains more: “Despite the pandemic and the lack of face-to-face contact with clients, we’ve actually had one of our best years ever. As well as servicing existing clients, we’ve won nine new projects with brand new customers located all across the UK – who we are yet to meet in person. Normally we’d kick off projects by visiting clients and conducting planning in-depth planning workshops that get to the heart of their digital objectives.”

“Our Zoom kick-offs and planning and strategy sessions have been working well – but nothing beats getting round the boardroom table for a chat over a cup of coffee. Essentially, that’s what gave us the idea for the challenge. With spring just around the corner, we wanted to virtually visit our clients – and give our team members a reason to get out and about individually – while doing something collectively for a good cause.”

During its fitness challenge, Granite 5 hopes to raise at least £685 for NHS Charities Together. The team will be tracking the miles they clock up via Strava – with each employee aiming to cover a distance of between 10 to 15 miles each week.
