G’s Fresh Beetroot win Queen’s Award for innovation

G’s Fresh Beetroot Limited are proud to announce that they have been named as winners of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success.

The award for Innovation was received in recognition of its contribution to promoting the consumption of beetroot and associated products.

Since 2001 G’s Fresh Beetroot has been at the forefront of innovation through the introduction of natural beetroot with no preservatives in vacuum-packed plastic packaging giving a six month shelf-life.  Plastic jars have been introduced for pickles as replacement for glass jars, using specialist high quality vinegars, a natural alternative to using manufactured acetic acid.

Technological advances have seen the development of steam cooking which gives healthier and more flavoursome products than boiling, and the introduction of robotics within the factory environment.

New product innovations include flavour-infused ready-to-eat beetroot, convenience packs and grocery innovations such as beetroot juices and premium quality pickled beetroot packed in hot fill plastic jars

The unique innovations pioneered at G’s Fresh Beetroot have led the business into international markets of the USA and Australia, with development opportunities in Europe and Asia.
