Successful cyclists will have the opportunity to join 25,000 entrants taking part in the 100 mile sportive on Sunday 31st July. The ride begins at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and heads out through London to the testing hills of Surrey's beautiful countryside before coming back to the capital and a spectacular finish on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the 2012 Olympic road race travelled by the world’s best cyclists - this promises to be a spectacular event for club and recreational cyclists.
Karen Newton, EACH Fundraising Manager said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to take part in cycling’s equivalent to the London Marathon! EACH has been offering places for this now iconic event since it began– our team members always thoroughly enjoy the challenge. We’re delighted to be able to offer two places to our cycling supporters for the 2016 ride.
“EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families. Money raised by our riders would go towards providing these vital services to local families at a time when they need it most.”
For more information on how to bid for a place to ride in aid of EACH visit: www.each.org.uk/challenges or contact Karen Newton on 01223 205192, Karen.newton@eachorg.uk.
There is a minimum sponsorship target of £600 and applicants need to complete a form by Friday 18th March 2016. EACH will let the successful applicants know in early April in plenty of time to get fundraising and training.
For those lucky enough to secure a ballot place you can still join Team EACH RideLondon-Surrey 100! Please get in touch to discuss fundraising ideas.
