Award winners will share in a prize fund of £18,000 to further develop their innovation after clearly illustrating its potential to be of significant benefit to NHS staff, patients and the wider healthcare environment. Awards will be in the following categories for 2017:
- Medical Technology
- Service Improvement
- Primary & Community Care
- Diabetes (sponsored by Roche Diabetes Care Limited)
- Small & Medium‐sized Enterprise (SME) Innovation
With a closing date for entries of Friday 14th July, the HEE Innovation Awards ceremony will take place at Sturmer Hall, Essex on Wednesday 20th September where the winners in each category will be announced from the shortlist of entrants that will be invited to attend the presentation dinner.
Dr Anne Blackwood, Chief Executive at HEE said: “The HEE Innovation Awards are now well established in the region and we look forward to again spotlight the very best ideas in health and care innovation. The winners will not only benefit from a record prize fund this year, but also the potential to leverage further funding, develop partnerships and gain specialist support which has proved invaluable to our previous finalists.”
