Following on from last week’s government announcement of seed funding for CUH to plan a new hospital, Mr Hancock said: “It’s incredibly exciting to come to Addenbrooke’s which is going to build one of the finest research hospitals in the world and bring the world-beating research here in Cambridge to improve the lives of patients and to save lives. I have been hearing about the plans. The team here are incredibly motivated. We are bringing the almost one billion pounds of money over the next decade that is going to make sure we give the best possible care to the people of Cambridge and across the region and really translate those scientific discoveries in Cambridge into a reality.”
