Ed van Wezel, son of Hi-Tec founder Frank van Wezel, will deliver his talk and take part in a Q&A session at Anglia Ruskin University’s Lord Ashcroft International Business School.
Hi-Tec Sports is a global brand with a 42-year heritage. The company generates sales of more than $250 million (£175 million) with distribution in more than 85 countries and subsidiaries in the UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Spain, France, Germany and the Benelux.
Van Wezel will speak about the traits required to be successful, based on his experience and knowledge as a relatively young person leading a global organisation.
He will talk about the softer side of business and what you need in your armoury for personal and professional success. He said: “I am very enthused at the prospect of speaking to Anglia Ruskin students.
“As a young CEO of a global branded business, it wasn’t too long ago I was at university myself so the idea of passing on some of my experiences and knowledge that I have gained, in the extremely diverse and fiercely competitive business world, to a new generation of soon-to-be business graduates is very rewarding.”
Although aimed primarily at students interested in leadership and entrepreneurship, members of the public are welcome to attend.
The talk (in Lord Ashcroft Building room 003) begins at 6pm and will include a 20 minute Q&A session. It will be followed by networking and refreshments from 7-8pm. To register for the event, please visit https://hi-tec.eventbrite.co.uk
