The Mumford Theatre, located at the heart of Anglia Ruskin’s Cambridge campus, welcomes The Princess and the Pea this Sunday, 26 October (11.30am and 2.30pm).
York Theatre Royal and tutti frutti productions have created a funny and original retelling of this Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, although it’s not for the faint heated, fake princesses or for those who have trouble sleeping at night!
Hugless Douglas, by Blunderbus Theatre, visits Cambridge on Sunday, 2 November. Hugless Douglas, based on the book by David Melling, is about a huggable, lovable young brown bear who wakes up one morning in need of a hug.
Looking ahead to Christmas, there’s a new production of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Rapunzel on 14 December followed by this year’s pantomime, Cinderella, on 19-21 December.
The Mumford Theatre offers a range of contemporary and classic children’s theatre with shows that engage, stimulate the imagination, challenge expectations and entertain. With excellent tiered seating offering unrestricted viewing for everyone, the theatre is accessible to all and creates a great environment to watch and enjoy live productions.
