Adil Khokhar, Radakrishna Pyneeandee, both 17, and Matthew Clark, 16, took the national title for their company, Alpha Enterprise which was launched as part of the Young Enterprise programme at Cambridge’s Netherhall School.
Now they will compete against teams from 12 other countries in the Social Innovation Relay Global Finals.
The interactive, web-based competition is run by electronics giant, HP in partnership with Junior Achievement, the world’s largest organisation dedicated to preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.
Julian, a keen cyclist, met the team from Alpha Enterprise earlier this year and has been using their Glo Gos armbands while cycling.
He said: “I am delighted that the team from Alpha Enterprise has won through to the global finals of this competition.
“Their armbands are very effective and extremely useful for all ages giving them a big marketplace. These young people have shown a real flair for innovation at a young age and I have no doubt that they will have bright futures. I wish them every success.”
