Impact Factors for Cambridge Journals rise again

Cambridge University Press Journals have achieved further Impact Factor rises in the recent Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports®.

Impact Factor is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals. Used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field, Thomas Reuters Journal Citation Reports® are the world's most influential resource for information on highly cited, peer-reviewed publications.

69 Cambridge journals saw an increase in Impact Factor in this year's results.

Five journals now sit at the top of their categories, including:

  • American Political Science Review (published for the American Political Science Association)
  • Behavioural and Brain Sciences
  • Journal of Economic History (published for the Economic History Association)
  • World Politics (published for the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Affairs)
  • Microscopy & Microanalysis (published for the Microscopy Society of America)

A further 22 Cambridge journals are in the top 10 of their category and a record 13 Cambridge journals received an Impact Factor for the first time.

Cambridge Journals publishes over 300 peer-reviewed journals, including journals published on behalf of over 100 learned societies, which form the latest in research and discovery across a range of topics.
