Improve yourself with Learning Collaboration courses

Cambridge Network's Learning Collaboration courses lined up for next month focus on interviewing skills and improving personal impact.

Good recruitment is about finding the right person for the job. Although simple enough, it is often challenging to select the right candidate, especially in a competitive market. Interviewers are usually under pressure to get additional resources and candidates are keen to get employment - so the selection process is vitally important to reduce the risk of costly mistakes and ensure the fit works and is rewarding for both.

Interviewing Skills on Wednesday November 11th  (a host venue is sought) will help you learn how to find the right fit for your business.  This one-day workshop is designed to equip managers with a range of skills and techniques so they can conduct recruitment interviews which are professional, effective and within the law.

Would you like to improve your impact on others - and your ability to influence them?  The one-day workshop - Improving Personal Impact and Influence - on Thursday November 12th (at The Møller Centre, Storey's Way, Cambridge CB3 0DE) will develop your inherent ability to make an impact, but with a greater breadth of colleagues and friends. Covering the importance of understanding others and their personalities, you will learn how to adapt your behaviour to connect more effectively with others.

The workshop will emphasise the need to consider both verbal and non-verbal communication when getting your points across. An Insights profile will form part of the workshop and provide an opportunity to discuss your influencing style.

It will cover:
•Individual personality and what motivates others and us
•Adapting our approach to connect effectively with others
•Developing rapport through adopting appropriate verbal and non-verbal behaviours to gain agreement
•How we can anticipate reactions to our approach and how we might counter them.

The workshop will be followed by a two-hour individual coaching session, building on the action plan prepared by each attendee.
