Indie Cambridge champions local businesses that deliver

Many local businesses are adapting quickly to the changing circumstances caused by Covid-19, says Indie Cambridge.

Anne Beamish, co-founder of Indie Cambridge and editor of The Indie, writes:

"When we started work on the latest issue of our publication The Indie, no one had even heard of Coronavirus – but things move fast, and it is clear that there is bound to be significant disruption and hardship for everyone over the coming months.

"Looking further ahead, one of the very possible outcomes is that people and businesses will look to act in a more locally-focused way. Smaller supply chains, locally grown produce, travelling more responsibly and valuing what we have on our doorstep – which obviously includes our local independent businesses and people. Many are looking to help their communities and save their businesses by putting in place delivery services.

"We have put together this list - which we will be constantly changing and updating - to help them spread the word and also help those who are unable to get out. The list also includes those with online shops and who offer vouchers/gift tokens - so you can support them now so they are there for you into the future. Keep well everyone."
