The Mewburn Ellis team will be supporting EACH until the until the end of March 2022, and plan to organise their own fundraisers in the hope of adding to their already incredible donation of £15,000.
The initial gift could fund 15 short break care sessions for families EACH supports. These sessions were suspended during lockdown as EACH helped families to shield their children at home. Now, though, these sessions are going to become increasingly important as families come out of lockdown exhausted from providing round-the-clock care on their own.
Maria Hall, who leads the Forward Community Programme for the firm said said: “Community is important to Mewburn Ellis. For us, this means nurturing our people, helping everyone develop and contributing to the wider communities in which we operate, as well as supporting worthy causes, with time and money. As a firm, we have made a commitment to donate 1% of our profits to charity as well as over 250 days of time to good causes. We support charities at a firm-wide and local office level and do this through our Forward Community Programme Charity Fund.
“Each of our offices get to choose a local charity to support. EACH was chosen by a vote at our Cambridge office. We’re delighted to be associated with this charity and the great work they do. In ever more challenging times, ensuring families get the support they need was really important to us. We felt that targeting our support at the short break care programme would make a real difference.”

Short break care sessions are designed to allow parents and family members time to recharge and spend time together whilst EACH’s expert care staff take-over care duties either during the day or night. They have maybe never been more important as families reach out for support after a prolonged period of shielding.”
