IT Governance awarded ISO9001 certification

IT Governance, the global leader in management system compliance, has announced that it has successfully achieved certification to the ISO9001 Quality Management Standard.

IT Governance's ISO9001 quality management system (QMS) is now fully integrated with their ISO27001-ceritfied information security management system.

Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance, says, “We are delighted to have been awarded the ISO9001 certificate for the company’s QMS. We believe in taking our own advice and in the last few years we have been rigorously implementing quality management best practice and the time has come to get our system officially recognised. We are pleased our efforts have paid off and we will continue improving our system.”

An ISO9001 QMS can help organisations quickly identify product or service deficiencies and make improvements, resulting in less waste, inappropriate or rejected work and fewer complaints. It can also motivate staff by defining their key roles and responsibilities and achieve cost savings through improved efficiency and productivity.

Calder continues, “When you already have one or more management systems in place, like we do, it is much easier to implement other management systems and integrate them in the overall business management system. We have already benefited from improved business operations, faster and better service delivery and cost-efficiency.”

IT Governance Consultancy has a track record of helping clients implement more than one management system parallel or in stages. They have helped their client OmtPrompt achieve certification to both ISO27001 and ISO9001 as well as assisted the London Fund Pension Authority certify to ISO27001 and ISO14001.
