Created as part of the firm’s C-19 business pledge, a commitment by UK firms to help support staff, business and communities with the issues caused by the Coronavirus, the campaign exceeded its target in less than two weeks thanks to generous donations from the firm, staff, clients and contacts.

Monies were raised through fundraisers undertaking a variety of physical activities during a dedicated hour and getting sponsored for their efforts.

The funds raised have been donated to the charity Business2Schools who will buy multiple IT devices for schools in each of Hewitsons four office regions: Cambridge, Milton Keynes, London & Northampton.

Discussions are also in place to donate the firm’s supplementary IT equipment to schools that are in need.

Jo Hamilton-Atkins, member of Hewitsons’ Covid-19 taskforce (pictured), said: “The generous donations we received provide a fantastic opportunity for Hewitsons, its staff and its supporters to help our local communities in these trying times.

“The important work Business2Schools does for the local community is a cause close to our hearts. The wider Hewitsons education sector is very active in our local areas, so we have a real understanding of just how important IT equipment is to local schools and learning institutions.”
