The Learning Collaboration celebrates in style

Cambridge Network's Learning Collaboration - which enables members to share training and management development opportunities - celebrated a decade of success with a tea party at the city's 12a Club last week.

Two of the Learning Collaboration's founders - Vicki Sanderson of Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, and Bill Parsons, former HR Director of ARM - spoke about the origins of shared training courses between the growing businesses in Cambridge and the impact that it has had in building links, new ideas and collaborative success in business.

Gillian West, Business Support Manager at VLSI Research Europe Limited commented: "Thank you so very much for a most enjoyable event. Even though we are a micro employer we have always felt welcome and so supported by the Learning Collaboration. The courses have helped to develop our team and have improved our business efficiency significantly since our move to Cambridge in 2011."

Claire Ruskin, Cambridge Network's CEO, added: "We have now grown to the point of running 390 training events in the past year - more than one every working day.  We have a number of peer groups and we are helping to bring in, motivate and develop many of the new staff that we have seen join our members in the years since the informal (and fun) conception of the Learning Collaboration."
