LGBT community invited to give views on life in Cambridge

Cambridge City Council is working with the Encompass Network, a voluntary sector organisation, to encourage participation in a piece of research that has been developed to help understand the needs of the local Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities.

People are being invited to participate in a survey, funded by a grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government, which aims to capture a picture of LGBT communities in Cambridge City and the surrounding villages in South Cambridgeshire. It is hoped that the research will raise awareness of LGBT issues and increase greater understanding of how different communities feel about life in Cambridge.

People interested in taking part in the survey can contact Encompass and fill out an electronic survey form. For more details, visit www.encompassnetwork.org.uk

The results of the research will be published on Encompass’s website.
