Zettlex designs and makes sensors which measure position or speed accurately in harsh environments. The sensors are used in the medical, defence, aerospace and petrochemical sectors with export to 45 countries accounting for almost 90% of Zettlex sales.
The official opening was attended by Heidi Allen, MP for South Cambridgeshire, as well as local councillors, customers, suppliers and members of the local press and journalists.
During the event, Lord-Lieutenant Mrs. Spence also presented Zettlex with the Queen’s Award for Innovation which the company won for its world-leading IncOder product range.
Mark Howard, Zettlex Managing Director commented: “We would like to thank all of the guests who came to the official opening of Faraday House. This is a really exciting time for Zettlex – not only do we have a new HQ but we’ve also doubled production capacity at our nearby Operations Centre in Newton and we’ve also opened our third US sales office in Chicago.”
Heidi Allen, MP for South Cambridgeshire commented: “We are particularly good at creating intellectual capital in South Cambs, but we don’t have enough end to end manufacturing businesses. So, I am particularly pleased that Zettlex is growing and employing more and more local people.”
