Major players join HCR, boosting corporate and real estate teams

HCR's expanding teams welcomed new members James Simpson and Charles Stevens.

Two new hires by Harrison Clark Rickerbys inc Houlden Sweeney are strengthening the firm’s growing real estate team and its corporate offering in an expanding Cambridge office which has just moved into larger premises.

Partner James Simpson, who is well-known in the Cambridge market, has joined partners Natalie Minott, Roslyn Sweeney and Samantha Houlden in the real estate team. He deals with a wide range of issues including development, investment, landlord and tenant, and funding work, with clients ranging from residential developers and landowners to investors or promoters.

Legal director Charles Stevens, who is also well-known across the region, has joined Inger Anson in the corporate team; he has worked with clients ranging from major charities to telecoms companies, and from wealthy individuals (including a Lottery winner) to Cambridge colleges.

Inger said: “We’re delighted to welcome James and Charles, who will be major assets to the office, both because of their extensive local networks and because they will bring new commercial and corporate skills to the team, expanding our reach still further.”

James said: “Knowing some of the team at HCR already, the welcome has been warm and I am very much looking forward to working with such a dynamic group.”
