The charity, which cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, is launching its EACH Mile Counts November Challenge for 2021.
The mission is to travel 100 miles during the month of November. You can do it anyway you like, either individually, as a family or as part of a team.
The challenge is free to take part in but participants are asked to try and raise £100.
Becky Redbond, EACH Events Fundraising Manager, said: “Whether you’re a novice or super-fit, this is the challenge for you during November.
“It’s your challenge and you can do it your way – walking, running, cycling or something else. However you choose to do it, make your miles count for EACH.
“It’s a great way of supporting children living with life-threating conditions, while ticking off an amazing fitness milestone for 2021.
“All we ask is that you try and raise £100 - £1 for every mile covered – and if you hit that target you’ll receive a special medal in the post.”
You can sign up by clicking HERE. This takes you straight to a JustGiving page that is already linked to the EACH Mile Counts November Challenge.
Then you can start fundraising but make sure you add your challenge details so everyone knows what challenge you are taking on.
You can track your distance using an app on your phone, smart watch or other device and you could link your Strava app to the JustGiving page, to keep friends and family updated on your progress.
Becky added: “The extending pressure of the pandemic means our care is more important than ever.
“Families who’ve been shielding and self-isolating become exhausted from providing care alone.
“We’ve adapted the delivery of many services to continue supporting families in different and innovative ways, including online counselling, music and art therapy, online groups for bereavement and so much more.
“Money raised from this challenge will make an enormous difference and help children, young people and families across East Anglia.”
