Mills & Reeve appointed to advise London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

Mills & Reeve has been appointed as the main legal adviser to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

The firm will provide most legal services to the School including advice on education and student matters, corporate finance, property, medical law and constitutional matters.

The team was led by employment partner Nicola Brown with support from others in the firm’s education team. Nicola said: “We are delighted with our appointment to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The School is a prestigious institution with a global footprint and we look forward to working with them across our specialist sectors and demonstrating the fusion between our business disciplines.”

The tender came in under the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) Framework Agreement for Legal Services, which is a professional purchasing organisation that acts on behalf of over 65 major institutions from the higher education, further education, cultural and research sectors in and around London. The firm was appointed to the panel in 2010 and was the only one of 13 successful firms to have been appointed to provide advice across all eight of the LUPC’s specialist Lots, as well as the “One Stop Shop” Lot for members that wish to engage a single firm to provide all of their legal service requirements, as is the case here.
