Crowd Vision offers a highly innovative software product that extracts crowd insights from video feeds in busy locations, enabling customers to understand and intervene. The software has already been deployed at Mecca where it helps to keep millions of pilgrims safe as they attend the Hajj. Beyond crowd safety it can provide accurate crowd counts, improve pedestrian flows and help businesses optimise their operations based on live and accurate crowding data.
Fiona Strens, Crowd Vision CEO, said: “I chose to work with Mills & Reeve for their track record of working with growing tech businesses, their in-depth experience of equity investment transactions and their passion for developing long term relationships with emerging technology businesses. They were, and remain, the ideal partner for Crowd Vision at what is a crucial stage of our development.”
The Mills & Reeve team was led by corporate finance partner Zickie Lim, who was assisted by corporate finance solicitor, Pippa Pearce, employment solicitor, Andrew MacDonald, and tax partner, Christopher Townsend.
Zickie commented: “It has been a pleasure to work with Fiona and her team at Crowd Vision. Their ability to secure this vital early stage financing during a recession, demonstrates that money is still available for good propositions and strong management teams.”
