Minor Weir & Willis select LINKFresh to manage fresh produce operations

Anglia Business Solutions today announce that Minor Weir & Willis, one of the UK’s largest handlers of fresh produce, has selected the Microsoft Dynamics based LINKFresh solution to manage its fresh produce operations.

Birmingham-based Minor Weir & Willis (MWW) source over 100 produce lines from 40 countries, with associated businesses in Holland, Spain and Germany.

The 70+ user LINKFresh solution will replace legacy Sage Line 100 and Access solutions.  Starting in August, LINKFresh will be deployed across all its UK operations at its various sites in the Midlands, South East and East Anglia.  The project will utilise Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 with the Role Tailored User Interface, LINKFresh modules for Supply Chain and Operations, LINKFresh mobile applications for Warehouse Operations, Dispatch and Quality Control and the LINKFresh Touchscreen Silverlight interface for factory floor management.

Speaking about the project, Rajinder Gill, Finance Director at Minor Weir & Willis said, “The LINKFresh solution will provide MWW with a single solution across our entire organisation making financial reporting and information sharing between our business units much easier.  We will have streamlined paperless business processes and a real-time view of our inventory situation.  In addition to meeting these key business objectives the LINKFresh solution provides a wealth of fresh produce specific functionality that we could not find in any other solution.”

“We are delighted to welcome Minor Weir & Willis as a LINKFresh customer”, comments Anglia Business Solutions CEO Robert Frost, “I and the project team are excited to be working with such a well-known and respected organisation in our industry.”
