A total of 90 staff and students will run on behalf of Anglia Ruskin on Sunday (March 8th), the largest team it has ever had. The course follows the same route as 2014, starting from Victoria Avenue, passing some of the city’s most historic locations including The Backs, the Round Church, the Market Square and Kings College, before finishing on Midsummer Common.
2015 marks the fourth Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon, which has been supported since it began by Anglia Ruskin University. About 4,500 runners will take part in the sold out event, which is being organised in support of Cancer Research UK.
Laura Bass, Sport Development Officer at Anglia Ruskin University, said: “We’re really excited to have our largest ever team participating in the Cambridge Half Marathon. We have a good mixture of staff and students running and it should be a great day for everyone involved. We welcome any spectators and make sure you look out for our red t-shirts.”
