The team who established and ran the Employer Links programme for the Cambridge Area Partnership have set up a social enterprise called Form the Future C.I.C. It's still the same people, working together with CAP schools and colleges, but it provides an opportunity to expand and access new sources of funding.
Form the Future will be based at the Future Business Centre, Cambridge as they are part of the newest cohort starting with Social Incubator East.
The business works through a network of engaged businesses and individuals who can introduce students to different career opportunities, share their own experiences, help them develop core employability skills and provide opportunities for work experience and employment.
Form the Future works with partners like Founders4Schools, STEM Team East and Business in the Community. Its co-directors Anne Bailey and Michaela Eschbach (pictured) say: " We are always eager to hear from businesses who want to get involved and are actively recruiting volunteers for events in the new term. Please contact us at info@formthefuture.org.uk to find out more."
