CW International Conference (CWIC) 2019: Digitising Industry will explore the ways in which demand from industry is inspiring world-changing technological innovations. The one-day event will showcase how manufacturing, retail, healthcare, utilities, smart cities and transport are digitising their individual industries. A keynote will be delivered by Mansoor Hanif, Chief Technology Officer at Ofcom and additional plenaries are being planned for Wireless Technologies and Cyber-Security.
This ambitious conference is the gateway for companies wishing to network with the Cambridge technology community. In 2018, delegates were treated to insights from 30 expert speakers across six tracks. Highlights included the likes of Avis Budget Group, BP, BT, Inmarsat, Finning, Robert Bosch Group. Dame Wendy Hall delivered the after-dinner talk, encouraging delegates to consider what the UK needs to do to establish itself as the world-leader in Artificial Intelligence. The call for speakers is now open for 2019 and organisations wishing to share their stories are welcome to submit proposals via the CW website.
The 2019 Conference Committee is chaired by Derek Long, Head of Mobile & Telecoms, Wireless & Digital Services at Cambridge Consultants.
“The International Conference has established itself as a must-attend event for uncovering new partnerships and participating in realistic, knowledgeable technology debates,” says Derek. “This year we are further extending the conversation to vertical markets by giving a platform to cutting-edge R&D. There are too few opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing between the technology sector and vertical markets; CWIC 2019 will fill that gap and I hope that the day will be the source of valuable inter-disciplinary collaborations.”
CWIC 2019 will take place on Wednesday 26 June at the beautiful Wellcome Genome Campus, Cambridgeshire. Early bird tickets start from £75. More information can be found online www.cambridgewireless.co.uk/events/conferences/cwic/
