The gallery is part of Cambridge University and comprises a beautiful house as well as a contemporary gallery featuring works by artists including Miro, Hepworth and Moore. Over 100,000 visitors are anticipated in 2018.
Partner Helen Drayton, who has overall responsibility for the development of Penningtons Manches’ Cambridge office, commented:“Our sponsorship of Kettle’s Yard underscores our commitment to Cambridge and its community. The gallery's values echo the firm’s: it is forward thinking and committed to excellence. It also has impressive approach to CSR and we hope to work together on projects in the wider community. The association will build our profile in Cambridge primarily, but also nationally and internationally.”
The announcement represents a key milestone in the development of the office, which has been growing steadily since it was established in 2012. Its highly skilled team has developed a distinct set of services that are increasingly sought after by some of the most successful businesses and institutions in the region.
Following on from the appointment of two new lawyers to the busy real estate practice earlier this year, Cambridge team has recently been joined by Andrea Nicholls (pictured). Andrea is a senior property litigation lawyer who advises on both commercial and residential property disputes as well as agricultural matters. Andrea will work closely with real estate partner Sarah Coates. Her appointment coincides with renewed discussion about the development of the Oxford-Cambridge corridor. Having offices in both cities means that the firm is extremely well placed to advise on new projects both within the corridor and the wider region.
Helen Drayton said: “This is a very exciting time for Penningtons Manches in Cambridge. We continue to grow our team with brilliant new hires like Andrea. We are also deepening our investment in the services we can offer high growth businesses and institutions. We’re proud of our position as a leader amongst the firms in the area, and I’m confident we’ll continue to go from strength to strength.”
