Peter Wingrove joins Blue Chip Technology as sales manager

UK based computer board manufacturer Blue Chip Technology has appointed Peter Wingrove as Sales Manager, responsible for the worldwide sales of Blue Chip's single board computers, industrial PC' and design services. Peter has an impressive track record within the semiconductor industry together with 25 years technical sales experience.

"Peter is a very welcome addition to Blue Chip," said Barry Husbands, Managing Director. "Demand for our products has really escalated over the past year or two and we have been in need of additional expertise on the sales side. Most of the boards we manufacture are bespoke designs that are made to customer specification. Peter joins Blue Chip Technology from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he was Regional Sales Manager for North/South Europe within their Embedded Computing Solutions Group.

Blue Chip Technology has recently announced the release of the RM2, a powerful ARM Cortex A8 based, small-footprint computer module that is ideal for powering small and portable intelligent devices.

The RM2 is the latest addition to Blue Chip’s highly successful Computer On Module range. It is based on the latest ARM Cortex A8 processor together with integrated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and 2D/3D Graphics Engine. The RM2 is available with a choice of processor speeds - 800Mhz or 1GHz - and DSP speeds of 660MHz and 800MHz, offering engineers exceptional performance with a very low power consumption and a tiny footprint of only 50mm by 50mm.
