The integration work will focus on the ability to easily call the VNC Connect software from within a service desk environment, streamlining IT support workflow and improving customer service. The companies targeted by RealVNC in their first round of development work include:
• Freshworks
• Hornbill
• Samanage
• Zendesk
The VNC Connect software provides both device access and instant support capabilities in a single subscription. Device access uses preinstalled software to enable service agents to remotely access and manage attended computers and unattended servers. By contrast, instant support offers service agents the ability to create ad-hoc remote access sessions where there is no software preinstalled. These two capabilities combined with RealVNC’s best-in-class security features delivers increased service desk efficiency, higher first call resolution and improved customer satisfaction.
“We are really pleased to launch this certification initiative for VNC Connect with some of the service desk industries’ leading players. Many of our customers already use VNC Connect as a key component of their service desk strategy, so we often share customers with service desk providers. It makes perfect sense to provide greater integration to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT support team.” explained Adam Greenwood-Byrne, CEO at RealVNC. “Our new service desk initiative has been very well received by partners and our customers who are happy to see tighter integration for VNC Connect. It’s a win for everyone!”
RealVNC will be demonstrating VNC Connect with initial service desk integration at the Service Desk & IT support show (SITS) in London on the 5th and 6th of June (stand 620). At SITS they will be highlighting the advanced features and compelling business benefits of the VNC Connect device access and instant support capabilities for a service desk environment.
