The move comes in response to increasing market demand for support in these areas, made evermore challenging by climate change and increasing pressures on finite resources.
Sustainability East supports clients to work smarter by factoring sustainability and climate change into strategies and plans. It also facilitates collaboration between different organisations and sectors in a bid to achieve the greatest impact. Indeed many major corporations, including Coca-Cola, Unilever and McDonalds, are now proactively seeking to collaborate, to address key sustainability issues for the benefit of their organisations, the communities they operate in, and the natural environment.
Since conception in 2011, the team at Sustainability East has worked in partnership with public, private and third sector organisations including Stansted Airport, Anglian Water, PepsiCo, PwC, Suffolk County Council, Essex County Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, Environment Agency, NHS, Forestry Commission, RSPB and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Established as a social enterprise with the goal of accelerating the change towards a sustainable society, its mission is to always focus activities to have the greatest impact.

With its new focus will be a targeted approach to working with organisations in sectors where SE believes maximum social impact can be achieved, including LEPs, large corporates and SMEs, the water and energy companies, local authorities, government agencies and education providers.
