TWI engineers led by Dr Farshad Salamat-Zadeh have designed, developed and manufactured a machine to simulate the chewing actions of the human mouth in order to test denture adhesives.

TWI signs Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Aramco
TWI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of a wider collaboration between Saudi Arabian Oil Company, commonly known as Aramco, and British business. The MoU was one of several agreements forged at the UK-Saudi CEO Forum held in London on 8 March to promote bi-lateral business and cooperation between the two countries.

A novel cabling solution for down hole electric submersible pumps in the oil and gas industry

These down hole pumps are widely used in the oil and gas sector to boost productivity or de-water wells; however, the operating conditions create a number of challenges, including the joining of cables from the motor winding to appropriate terminals.
