Seminar from Cambridge law firm offers support to charity trustees

Cambridge law firm Stone King is holding a session to help charity senior management and trustees carry out their roles efficiently.

The session will cover key Charity Commission guidance and underlying charity law duties, and aims to help attendees implement best practice and prevent and deal with problems.

It takes place on Tuesday, October 8 and attendees will improve their understanding of how the Charity Commission and other regulators, such as the Fundraising Regulator and Information Commissioner, operate.

The session costs £25 and will also consider case studies examining best practice governance in practical settings, including:

  • The evolving role of the Charity Commission and its interaction with other regulators
  • Key duties and liabilities of charity trustees and recent regulatory case reports, working with others and managing disagreement.

All sessions are interactive and provide the opportunity to speak to expert advisors from Stone King's Charity & Social Enterprise Team.

The event takes place at Stone King LLP, Bateman House, 82-88 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 1LQ, and runs from 4.15-6.30pm.
