The new SPL provisions are complicated and will be a challenge for HR professionals and staff to understand and operate. Mothers have to give notice to curtail their maternity leave and both parents/partners will need to check their eligibility for SPL and shared parental pay (ShPP) as well as issue employers with the correct notices and declarations. SPL arrangements can also be varied and all parties will want to understand how to do this. Our policy is as straightforward and clear as its possible to be and will guide employers and employees through the process. It represents excellent value and will take away hours of painstaking research and drafting from the busy HR professional for a very competitive cost. Importantly our policy also attaches the necessary forms for eligible staff to complete taking away some of the uncertainty and difficulty of operating this new statutory regime. A must for all organisations. The SPL regulations come into effect on 1 December 2014.
