Imagine the whole of Cambridge displaying a vibrant array of artwork that showcases our city as a cycling icon and a city of innovation to the many visitors and residents who will be flocking here for the Tour.
The project is part of The Vélo Festival which celebrates cycling in Cambridgeshire through culture and sport throughout May to September. Artworks have been selected by the Cambridgeshire Film Consortium after an open submission programme; the film is 15 minutes long on loopback.
Following the Tour de France route through the city from Parker's Piece up to Trumpington Road, the video features old and present footage of landmarks (eg the Market Square in 1943 and present day) interweaved with artwork, stills and photography.
Get involved and help to showcase an important part of Cambridge: your company!
