Dora Guzeleva
Dora currently heads the Networks Policy Team in Ofgem.
Her team is responsible for the policy development regarding Smart Grids, including the regulatory and commercial work undertaken under the Smart Grids Forum; the £500 million Low Carbon Networks Fund; the development and implementation of the Network Innovation Stimulus which spans across both electricity and gas as well as distribution and transmission under the new network price controls regime – RIIO; and any other environmental challenges and incentives mechanisms relevant to the network operators in Great Britain. In a previous role Dora led the design and delivery of the central data and communications model in the Great Britain’s Smart Metering Implementation Programme. Dora joined Ofgem in 2008 after 15 years in the Western Australian energy sector.

Adam Cooper (click name for image)
Adam leads Ofgem’s Sustainable Energy Policy team.
Previously, he led a team responsible for the analysis of the business plans as part of the RIIO-T1 price controls. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and has worked in a number of consulting and corporate strategy roles. Before joining Ofgem, he was Deputy Director of Financial Analysis at the Competition Commission.
Talk Synopsis Adam Cooper
In a talk titled: Responsive regulation in a changing energy landscape, Adam will outline some of the ways in which Ofgem’s work is meeting the challenges of Britain’s changing energy systems. This will include the RIIO-ED1 price control, innovation funding, the move to smart meters and smarter markets, and the role of demand response.
