The appointments have been made as the firm’s reputation for providing tailored support in specialist areas of the law has expanded outside of its well-established portfolio of clients and across the region. The new members of the team offer vast knowledge of specialist fields including corporate and SME, IP and IT, employment and HR, education, commercial property, construction, dispute resolutions, and transport law.

New starters include Tamsin Eastwood, Senior Associate, Corporate and Commercial team, who joins with 25 years’ experience in corporate finance, banking and company law. Working alongside the firm’s IP and IT specialists, Tamsin will be supporting businesses, including SMEs, with legal challenges associated with all areas of their operations. These include those commonly faced by the many technology and pharmaceutical companies based in the ‘Silicon Fen’, such as take-overs, joint venture, MBOs, MBIs, LBOs, complex banking transactions, equity injections, and shareholder agreements.

Caroline Banwell, Associate, Employment team at Stone King Cambridge has specialised in employment law for 16 years. Caroline was recommended in the Legal 500 (2013) as ‘exceptionally capable’. Offering guidance on all areas of employment and human resources issues, including redundancies and discrimination, Caroline has advised a wide variety of schools and businesses, including SMEs, and will be working closely with the firm’s Corporate and Commercial, Charity and Education teams, to provide expert advice on employment and HR law.
Peter Geach, has joined Stone King Cambridge as Consultant Solicitor, Commercial Property. Peter has 15 years commercial property experience, gained acting for development clients and land owners as well as a strong background in both the education and charity sectors both in-house as well as private practice. He will be advising on all aspects of commercial property law, including development, landlord and tenant issues, acquisitions and sales.
Also joining the Stone King Cambridge team as Consultant Solicitor is Tom Brooke. Tom has 20 years’ experience as a legal advisor to schools and will be focussing on school governance operational issues. Tom is a fee paid judge with the Social Entitlement chamber and was previously Head of Law for The Learning Trust.
Finally, Jane Brewer has joined Stone King Cambridge as a Paralegal and will be providing support across key client teams.
