Where and When: The Guildhall, CB2 3QJ on Wednesday, 12 February from 7.45 pm to 9.45 pm
The Cambridge University DanceSport team represents Cambridge University in inter-university competitions throughout the year in dances such as waltz, quickstep, cha-cha and jive. The team has consistently been in the top two British universities over the past decade and performs at a range of events, from Cambridge balls to corporate dinners.
DanceSport is the competitive face of Ballroom and Latin American dancing, as seen on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. Tomorrow, the team will give a Strictly Come Dancing- style performance and demonstration, followed by brief lessons to those interested in brushing up their cha-cha or similar! (There will be a bar for those who prefer to watch.)
Tickets are £15.00 per person and may be purchased from Blue Smile’s website: www.bluesmileproject.org or by ringing 01223 314725.
Dress code: Lounge suits, comfortable shoes for those planning to dance and ‘something blue’ in support of Blue Smile.
Make a night of it! You are also invited, at no charge, to attend the VIP launch of e-Luminate’s Cambridge festival of breath-taking and interactive art installations and events taking place from 6.00- 8.00 pm on 12 February at John Lewis Brasserie before ‘Strictly Cambridge’.
