The ultimate aim of the project is to make more use of Ickleton’s large park, transforming unused areas into spaces that encourage a healthy outdoor lifestyle and can be enjoyed by the whole community all year round.
Dan Flicos, CEO at Team, comments “As a local company, we are pleased to be able to support the Ickleton community in such an important initiative. We share the desire of the community to change things for the better and we share a passion for health and wellness. We therefore wish Icklestock every success in raising much needed funds to improve the facilities in the park.”
Icklestock is being held in Ickleton Park on Saturday 9th September, and boasts a great line-up of bands, local food trucks, artisan stalls and a kids zone for the younger generation.
The stage will be packed with local talent including The Hanging Baskets, Ellie Dixon and Sophie Winter. The food line up includes local favourites Steak & Honour and Guerilla Kitchen, while pop up drinks tents will feature a great selection of craft beers from Brewboard, Pinkster Gin, and Hot Numbers Coffee.
Owners of Cambridge restaurant Bread and Meat, and Ickleton residents Simon and Michelle Cheney are also supporting and providing food at the festival. "We are really excited to be involved with Icklestock. We are passionate about excellent food and are very pleased that our community here in Ickleton are hosting a pretty delicious line up of food and drink alongside great music.”
Festival organisers and Ickleton residents Lucy Davidson and Katie Owen are passionate about bringing both Icklestock and the park project to life, with plans afoot for new playground equipment, bouldering zones, exercise stations and lots more. “We want to see our park come alive with all ages enjoying the space all year round.”
