Trio of courses will help boost your skill set

A trio of introductory courses from Cambridge Network's Learning Collaboration next month will help you boost your skill set to further your career. Find out more about coaching, presentation and negotiation respectively.

Coaching: an Introductory Workshop on Monday 12 October (a host venue is sought) is a one-day programme that will show you how to coach your team with confidence.

Coaching takes an individual and personal approach to learning and development. Well done, it is wonderfully effective in liberating performance. However, it isn't always well done.

This course puts coaching into context – its place in the organisation and the role it plays in helping people to learn, grow and stay motivated under stress. By far the greatest part of the day will be spent in practising the frameworks and skills that make great coaches.

Presentation Skills: Introduction on Friday 16 October (a host venue is sought) is a session designed for individuals who have little or no experience of presenting. The workshop provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to practise skills and gain confidence in their presentation ability.

Introduction to Negotiation Skills at Bespak Innovation (6-7 Technopark, Newmarket Road, Cambridge CB5 8PB) on Thursday 22 October is a programme designed for anyone involved in everyday negotiations. This workshop will help you understand what you can do to be more effective and achieve an even better result where small wins can have a big impact on the bottom line  - while still maintaining good client relationships.

It will benefit all those who are involved in persuading others in the business of resource allocation, sales and complaint handing, or in making operational requests of others.
